Steamed Clams with French Made Easy & Wine

Tender littleneck clams steamed in white wine, butter, and French herbs — ready in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1½ tsp French Made Easy
  • 1 lb littleneck clams (or mussels)
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1 medium shallot, thinly sliced
  • 1 handful Italian flat-leaf parsley, chopped
  • 1½ cups white wine

Directions

  1. Soak clams in fresh water for 20 minutes to flush out sand, then drain.
  2. In a pot over medium-high heat, saute butter, shallots, parsley, and French Made Easy for about 5 minutes until shallots are translucent.
  3. Add clams, stir to coat, then pour in the white wine.
  4. Bring to a boil over high heat, shaking the pot a few times, until all clams open.
  5. Squeeze in a bit of lemon, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve.
