Mexican Style Shredded Beef
Bold, smoky shredded beef slow-roasted with Smokin' Chipotle and Mexican in a Minute — ideal for tacos and burritos.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Mexican in a Minute
- 1 tbsp Smokin' Chipotle
- 3-4 lbs beef chuck
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2-3 cups beef or chicken stock
- Oil for searing
Directions
- Preheat oven to 225°F.
- Brush beef with oil, rub with Mexican in a Minute, and let marinate while the pan heats.
- Sear beef in a very hot pan for 3-5 minutes per side until a deep crust forms on all sides.
- Transfer beef to a roasting pan. Deglaze the sear pan with onions, scraping up browned bits.
- Add onions, stock, and Smokin' Chipotle around the beef in the roasting pan.
- Cover tightly and roast at 225°F for about 4 hours until fork-tender. Shred with two forks.
