Blue Cheese Stuffed Burger

A juicy stuffed burger loaded with blue cheese and topped with pickled onions and mushrooms seasoned with Italiano Pronto.

Ingredients

  • 3 tsp French Made Easy
  • 1 tsp Italiano Pronto (for pickling onions and mushrooms)
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 6 oz brown mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz blue cheese
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 1 cup red wine vinegar
  • 4 large hamburger buns
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Lettuce and tomato, for garnish

Directions

  1. Thinly slice onions and mushrooms and place in a bowl.
  2. Heat olive oil, red wine vinegar, and 1 tsp Italiano Pronto in a pot, then pour over the onions and mushrooms. Cover and refrigerate (overnight is best).
  3. Season the ground beef with French Made Easy, then divide into 8 thin patties.
  4. Place blue cheese on 4 patties, top with the remaining 4, and seal the edges.
  5. Grill or pan-sear burgers to desired doneness.
  6. Assemble on buns with avocado, pickled onions and mushrooms, lettuce, and tomato.

Tips

  • Make the pickled onions and mushrooms the night before for the best flavor.
